GOOGLE DRIVE Each student in the district is provided with a Student Gmail account. The username is the same as their school username for the computer login (first three letters of the first name and then the last name, with few exceptions). The password is the same as the school computers. The only noticeable difference is their accounts end in @bmchsd.org rather than @gmail.com. Google Drive has many features, but in Global Studies, we will primarily use the Google Documents feature. To Access Google Docs in student Gmail:
Go to the Bellmore-Merrick Homepage and click Student Email OR go to Gmail.com (just make sure to include the @bmchsd.org in the username).
Once you are logged in, click the icon next to your username in the top right corner (see image below). Then choose Drive.
Once in Drive, all of your documents that you have created will be there. You can also view items that have been 'Shared' with you.
To create a new document, click the red button that says 'Create,' then choose document.
When working on a document that you will be turning in, make sure to go to Share and change your settings to "anyone with the link" can EDIT! (This is the most important step).
To turn in a document on Edmodo, click the link once you have changed your share settings, copy it and paste it into the turn-in location on Edmodo.
